Production Company Eye Scream Films is producing a Feature Length adventure/comedy film titled "Poor Paul". A film, about A socially-awkward college student, who lives vicariously through his hero fantasies, takes his roommates on a trip around the world only to end up held hostage by a crazy Italian man, hell-bent on his daughter marrying an American. "Poor Paul" is a feature film that was originally a independent online web-series through Youtube from 2008-2011. It produced 2 season's and 45 episodes.
EYE SCREAM FILMS was founded in 2000 by Sean Micheal Beyer. His massive achievements stems from the award winning coming of age film "Randys Canvas". Beyer co-wrote and directed the award-winning Randy’s Canvas, a touching romantic drama about an aspiring artist with autism who falls in love for the first time. Starring Scout Taylor-Compton (Halloween, The Runaways), Kevin G. Schmidt (Cheaper by the Dozen, Butterfly Effect) and veteran character actor Richard Riehle (Office Space, Casino), Randy’s Canvas was honored with Best Director at the 2018 Glendale International Film festival and Best Actor & Best Picture awards at the 2018 AutFest International Film Festival; currently in Premium VOD / Digital release from Vision Films, with broadcast TV scheduled late 2019. "Poor Paul" which is set to go into production Summer 2021 has cast Jesse Vega(Silentious 2015, Pride & Prejudice:Cut! 2019) in a role playing an Italian Guido "Tailor" who works for the Italian Thugs. amongst Jesse Vega he will be working alongside some great actors such as Adam Carbone(Randys Canvas) 2018 as the lead "Paul". Nick Pasqual(How I Met Your Mother)2011 as "Clyde" and the legendary Richard Riehle(Casino)1995 and Deuce Bigalo:Male Gigalo)1999 as "Grandpa Paul".
"Poor Paul" will be directed by Sean Micheal Beyer and is expected to be released early 2022.
